๐Ÿ“š Why I Created The Cush Center for Learning and STEAM Beyond Borders๐ŸŒŽ

I started the Cush Center for Learning, as a pre-med undergrad at the CUNY City College of New York. Having had the opportunity to tutor and mentor young students, in underserved areas of NYC, I understood the sincere impact, opportunity and exposure can give to a young mind.

My triumphs as a pre-medical student, allowed me the fortitude to create The Cush Center for Learning, Inc., to ensure underserved students, are exposed to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M).

Knowing how students often wish for more opportunities and synergies in the S.T.E.A.M field, it was only right my team and I create S.T.E.A.M Beyond Borders.

We created the S.T.E.A.M Beyond Borders (SBB) program, to reinforce our mission for S.T.E.A.M, globally.

The S.T.E.A.M Beyond Borders program is an immersive program that seeks to connect students with S.T.E.A.M communities internationally. The inaugural S.T.E.A.M Beyond Borders program launches June 2017.

The S.T.E.A.M Beyond Borders program will host 20 hand-picked high school students for a weeklong session of curated workshops with innovative tech companies in cities & countries like, Mexico, South Africa and Amsterdam.

The program will feature speaking engagements and hands on workshops to expose students to the international science and tech industry.

This program seeks to expose underserved students to immersive programs that they otherwise would not have access to in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematicsโ€”so join us, as we embark on new frontiers in S.T.E.A.M.

Fondly,
